St Georges has been going for 54 years.  The first 30 were as part of the Sports and Social Club of the MOD operation at the Huts.  When this land was sold off for housing, the Bridge part of Social Club was named St Georges and relocated to the premises of the  Conservative Club on Park View.  When the Conservative Club relocated 3 years later,  St Georges moved to Harrogate Bridge Club, and stayed there for 8 years.  Increased friction between HBC and the St Georges Officers, particularly costs of playing, led to a move to the facilities at the United Reform Church on West Park.  The playing conditions, particularly during winter months, became increasingly unsatisfactory, and a decision was made to return to Robert St in 2018.
