| St Andrews Bridge Club - 2025/26 Season |
Our new season started on Tuesday 2nd September 2025. We will meet each Tuesday until early May (except 23rd and 30th Dec). Unless notified, we will meet each week in the New Golf Club, Gibson Place, St. Andrews
Registration is from 6:20pm, and play will start by 6:45pm
Visitors are always welcome and we look forward to welcoming existing members and prospective new members

| Scottish Cup Plate 2025 |
The Scottish Cup is Scotland's oldest and most prestigious trophy. Teams who are knocked out of the Cup in the first 2 rounds enter into the Scottish Cup Plate. This year 2 teams involving St Andrews members had some success in the Scottish Cup Plate. Cathy Ferguson and Bob McKinnon reached the semi-final stage, while Michèle Grainger, Peter Thommeny, Jack Shearer and Marc Shearer were beaten in the final.

| New Melville Christmas Congress |
The New Melville Bridge Club in Edinburgh have asked us to let you know about their Christmas Congress over the festive Period. It takes place in the club on 28-29 December and is open to all.

| SBU Highland National Congress 2025 - Aviemore |
There were several members at the Highland District Congress in Aviemore on the weekend of 7-9 November 2025. As the Peebles Congress has been discontinued, this is now treated as the SBU National Congress. It turned out to be a very successful weekend for St Andrews!
Cathy Ferguson and Bob McKinnon won the Congress Teams event playing with Angus MacDonald and Kevin Strathern. They were also 6th in the Congress Pairs event, 2nd in the Swiss Teams event and 2nd in the Bidding Competition. An amazing haul for one weekend!!
Marion Cadogan, Peter Thommeny, Michèle Grainger and Marc Shearer finished 3rd in the Congress Teams event. Marion and Peter were 10th in the Congress Pairs with Michèle and Marc 11th.
Other members in Aviemore were Fiona Lewis and Bill Hamilton who qualified for the Consolation Pairs final, Sylvia Peterson, Joe Peterson and David Deards.
Huge Congratulations to Sylvia Peterson who was promoted to the rank of Senior Life Master as a result of the Congress. This is the second highest rank in the SBU hierarchy!

| Central District Robertson Salver 2025 |
 The Robertson Salver is the Central District Teams Competition which was held on 11th October 2025 in Dundee Bridge Club. Congratulations to St Andrews members Sheila Blair & Howard Greenwell who won the trophy playing with Joan Forsyth and Matthew Robb. Cathy Ferguson and Bob McKinnon finished 3rd. | World Youth Team Championships 2025 |
The World Youth Teams' Championships are being held from 12th to17th July at Salsomaggiore Terme, Italy. St Andrews member Jack Shearer is part of the Scotland U31 Team. The full team is:-

| Publication of Results |
When the Bridgemates are being used, every effort will be made to publish the results of Tuesday Night Bridge by 11pm. Where paper scoring is being used, every effort will be made to publish the results by 9am the next day, Wednesday.
If there will be a delay in the publication, an announcement will be placed on the home page of the web site.
