| St Andrews Bridge Club - 2026/27 Season |
Our new season will start on Tuesday 1st September 2026. We will meet each Tuesday until early May (except 29th Dec). Unless notified, we will meet each week in the New Golf Club, Gibson Place, St. Andrews
Registration is from 6:20pm, and play will start by 6:45pm
Visitors are always welcome and we look forward to welcoming existing members and prospective new members

| Bob McKinnon's Commentary on Interesting Hands Played |
Bob McKinnon has kindly agreed to provide a commentary on some of the more interesting hands on any night when he is playing at St Andrews
Each week the commentaries will be added to this news item and an email will be sent to those who have requested it

| Clarendon Trophy |
The Clarendon Trophy is a prestigious Teams event hosted by Dundee Bridge Club each year. It took place on Saturday 23rd August and once again attracted a very strong field.
Congratulations to St Andrews members Cathy Ferguson, Bob McKinnon, Jack Shearer and Marc Shearer who represented Scottish Bridge and finished second.
The St Andrews team of Howard Greenwell, Sheila Blair, Marion Cadogan and David Deards also performed well finishing eleventh.

| Summer Success for Jack Shearer |
 Jack Shearer was selected to represent Scotland in the European U31 Youth Bridge Championships with his partner Niall Tennant in Riga, Latvia in July.
Jack and Niall also recently came first equal in the Scottish Men's Pairs. This is a superb result in such a prestigious event for a comparatively young pair.
They also won the Teams event (with Andrew Harborow and Tom Bagnall) and were 3rd in the Pairs Event at Kelso Congress earlier in the summer.
