Introduction
If you have not already set up your account on the club website you will need to do so in order to take advantage of the "members only" features.
To get started
Start by following the instruction in the third box down on the right hand side as illustrated above.
- enter your EBU number and then Set/Reset Password. Do not enter a password if this is your first time as the system will compare with a password that has not been set up and fail - leave password box blank.
- You will be asked for an email address so that the system has somewhere to send the instructions as to how to proceed. You will also be prompted to set up a password, something easily memorable of your own choice.
Any problems please contact the webmaster.
List of "Member Only" Preferences. The first 6 are the most useful but all 10 are helpful.
Members only features include setting your preferences as to how much information other members (not the world) can see about you.
- You may wish other members to be able to contact you so appearing on the list of members that other members can see together with your phone number and permission for that to be visible would be helpful for all members.
- A general feature that is useful is the "personal analysis results" which unfortunately currently defaults to "opt out" for new members. A graphical view of your % scores over a prolonged period can be displayed for those that "opt in" but can also be seen by general viewers not just club members.
- Another useful feature to "opt in" to is the "bulk email" as that allows general messages to be sent via the website easily and quickly to all members with an email address on the system, eg "club inaccessible due to heavy snow fall overnight dd/mm/yyyy" (hopefully system would be used very infrequently as general news would have either been "announced" at a session, already posted on the club notice board or the website).
- There is a "find a partner" feature which allows you to place an advertisement for a partner against a specific session showing on the calendar of future sessions. When and if you place such an advertisement you will again be prompted for how you wish to be contacted but the contact information given then can be seen by anyone who clicks the advertisement, not just club members (you could say that might be a good way to draw in new players from outside the club). Once you have found a partner pllease immediately remove the ad.
