If you know of any member of the club who is unwell please let either Pat Martin or a member of the committee know so that appropriate wishes can be sent on behalf of all members.
The quickest response will be to tell either Pat Martin or any member of the committee at the bridge session then a card can be signed & posted immediately. Alternatively, you can email the secretary.

Please Arrive 15 minutes before play

At all club sessions please arrive at least 15 minutes before play is due to start, 6:45 for 7 p.m. start, 7 for 7:15 start, 1:15 for 1:30 start. If you are running late please ring the club, 01785 246611, to let the scorer know you are on your way so that they can factor you in when setting up the movement and scoring systems.

Bridge Lessons
Lessons Starting in September
  • Intermediate: Robin Adey (01785 661059) are on Thursdays, at 10:00 a.m (most Thursdays, see diary dates, with breaks in holiday seasons)
  • Improvers: Paul Laughlin (01889  881733) are on Friday, at 10:00 a.m (most Fridays all year round, see diary dates)
  • Beginners: Ann Sleightholme (01785 822233) are on Mondays at 7 p.m. Insufficient interest for these lessons to run 2019/20

LEARNING BRIDGE

CLASSES.   Classes usually commence annually in September/October running through to May/June.  The lessons take place at The Stafford Bridge Club located at the County Showground.  Best to contact us, see telephone numbers below, for further information in the late summer although students may sometimes join the classes after the "term" has started.

TUITION.    Please telephone

  • Robin Adey (01785 661059) intermediate group, a mix of recently played interesting hands together with other hands to illustrate various conventions
  • Paul Laughlin (01889 881733) for the improvers guided learning group or
  • Ann Sleightholme (01785 822233) beginners group (beginners classes are based on the EBU "Bridge For All" staged learning programme).  A group of at least 12 is best, so talk all your friends into taking the lessons…….. you’ll make more friends and have an enjoyable experience learning bridge!  All ages welcome from students to pensioners!
