The map shows parking area and the location of the club within the Beaconside Conference Centre, Stafford ST18 0BF from June 1st 2025. The second picture shows the internal layout of the building (roll your mouse over the picture you wish to enlarge).

Bright Green Map pins - bottom to top - on the picture:

  • Lowest one (1) entrance to the site turning left off Weston Road (no right turn so if coming from the showground direction, go round the roundabout in order to approach the correct way)
  • Next (2) approximate position of a barrier that you will have to get permission to go through to play bridge! You will need a mobile phone to contact office if the club has not already notified the site office to expect your car.  If you can notify the bridge club secretary of your registration number a few days in advance of your first visit the club can inform the Conference centre manager and the barrier recognition system will let you through automatically. (Zeros in registration numbers must be spelt out to ensure recognition, eg DN10 RPG must be given as DN1zero RPG.
  • Highest (3) marks the entrance to the building where the club is located. There are two adjacent entry points, one manned during working hours (morning and afternoon bridge sessions) and one to the left for after hours entry (evening bridge sessions)
  • Green circles mark the route to take from the barrier to the car park

Red Map pin shows the location of the room within the Conference Centre building, the Stone Suite,

The internal layout shows the location of the club within the building - Stone Suite - at the bottom of the diagram - marked with green Map Pin 4, see also enlarged diagram here

Any problems 07301 777735 (Club mobile number during sessions only), director will not mind late comers who have reached the site 15 mins before play due to start and had a problem at the barrier provided they ring to say they are coming so the scoring system can be set up correctly.

On arrival:

  • please sign in to the list of those attending the session (health and safety in case of emergency evacuation)
  • please check that your car registration is on the list of numbers already supplied to the landlord if not please be sure to enter your car registration beside your name on the attendance list. The director of the session needs to record any car registration numbers not on the list already supplied to the showground office before the end of the session. Problem areas are member's new cars or visitor's cars not yet on the system. If you have not already notified the club communication secretary of your present car registration number please do so now for easy club access to the car park, if possible a few days in advance of your first visit with this car. Once a car is registered, it is permanently on record.
