Welcome to Southport Bridge Club
2026 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

This will be held on Thursday 30th July at 7.00pm and will be followed by free bridge.

Kath Holmes Memorial Rose
Kath Holmes Memorial Rose

Kath Holmes family requested that we use her Club Account to purchase roses in her memory.
This is particularly appropriate because Kath was involved in the project that led to the much improved garden & grounds we enjoy today.
Pictured above is the rose you will see if you use the kitchen entrance, there is another plant in the front garden. The rose is called Keep Smiling, good advice as you enter and leave the bridge club.

Thanks go to the gardening team for organising this tribute.

COMPETITIONS

The Club Championship Pairs is to be held on first Tuesday of each month throughout the year. There are two Championship Events Tuesday A (Red Section) and Tuesday B (Blue). The best eight scores out of 12 to count.

GEORGE INGLIS TROPHY
GEORGE INGLIS TROPHY

Maureen recently presented Doug Linaker and Diane Lamont with the George Inglis trophy which is awarded to the best students who have learnt at the club. George was a very good bridge player but also spent a lot of time teaching and helping players who were learning the game and that is why the trophy, which is named after him, is there to encourage those who have recently started playing bridge.
