Sadly we have to announce that Arnie Waxler has passed away.
The funeral will take place at 11.00am on 19th June
as Western Synagogue Cheshunt in Hertfordshire.

This group has been running since September. Some students are in their second year of learning, others are club members, who wish to recap or fill in gaps in their knowledge.
Any club members who wish to attend on an occasional basis are very welcome. The session comprises a short presentation, followed by the playing of set hands with assistance when required.
The cost is £5.00 which includes comprehensive notes, coffee and biscuits. The atmosphere is supportive, friendly and usually includes lots of laughter. The following topics will be covered:
18th June: Competitive Bidding
25th June: When to Sacrifice and when to Defend
2nd July: Bidding to a higher level without support from partner

If the Director is called to rule on a possible infringement of the rules during a session, whatever decision given is final and must be accepted by all parties.
There have been a couple of recent incidents where members have argued against rulings vociferously and caused a disturbance. This is not acceptable under any circumstances and any member behaving in this manner in the future will be liable to a penalty.
Our Directors do a difficult job on a voluntary basis and must be respected.
If any member has a grievance of any description, they should put it in writing and email it to The Chairman or Vice Chairman and the matter will be looked into.
