Welcome to South Canberra Bridge Club
Australian National Congress in Canberra 4 - 16 July
 
The Australian National Championships commence this coming Saturday 4 July and run till 16 July.
 
There are plenty of side events for players of all levels of skill and many are still open for entry. You can view the program for the ANC by clicking here for complete information and here for a summary.
 
Our club is directly involved in two particular ways, and members are encouraged to take part:
 
  • In conjunction with the Monaro Bridge Club, we are hosting the Monaro/South Canberra Bridge Clubs Graded Pairs on Thursday 9 July at the Belconnen Labor Club.
    • The grades are: < 15 masterpoints, < 100 mps, < 300 mps, and Open.
    • Prizes will be awarded.
    • There are 17 entries as at 27 June, including 3 pairs who play regularly in our Wednesday morning session. If that doesn't include you, please think about joining them!
 
  • We also have two teams in the Sean Mullamphy Australian Country (& Small) Club Teams Championship, which runs Monday 6 to Wed 8 July.

Regular club sessions

 

Our regular sessions are Wednesdays at 10 am and 7pm at the Southern Cross Club Woden, and Thursdays 7pm on ReaBridge. 

  • PLEASE NOTE: NO SESSION WED EVENING 8 JULY DUE TO ANC COMMITMENTS
  • For Wednesday sessions, please register in our calendar; new visitors please contact the club.
    • Including Make-A-Wish Pairs
      • Wed 1 July 7pm
      • Wed 15 July 10am
  • For Thurs evenings, please log in by 6.50pm (just click the link in our calendar) - visitors welcome (if you need a partner, just log in early and we'll do our best to match you up). ..........

South Canberra Bridge Club (SCBC) is an ABF affiliated club. You are most welcome to join the club.

Masterpoints are awarded at all sessions (your ABF number is needed).

SCBC strongly values the support of the Canberra Southern Cross Club, Woden:

  • through having the use of the Community Rooms every week together with free undercover parking; and
  • through its Community Rewards program. You can direct a percentage of your spending at the Club to our Bridge Club here

Please be considerate of the Southern Cross Club by leaving the room in a neat condition.

Tea, coffee, food and drinks can be purchased upstairs in the main dining area.
