| Australian National Congress in Canberra 4 - 16 July |
The annual Australian National Championships (ANC), one of the premier events in the Australian bridge calendar, is being held from 4 - 16 July at the Canberra Labor Club in Belconnen.
You can view the program for the ANC by clicking here for complete information and here for a summary.
Our club is entering a team in a new event, the Sean Mullamphy Australian Country (& Small) Club Teams Championship, which is a red masterpoint event being held from Monday 6 to Wed 8 July:
-
The team is to be made up of 4- 6 home members (with few exceptions).
-
We invite members who wish to take part to contact our club via email by 2 June in the first instance (we will extend the date if we do not have at least 2 pairs applying)
-
The Committee will decide the final composition of the team and the extent of subsidy to be provided.
Following the teams event, there will be a two-day red point Australian Country Pairs Championship on Thurs 9 & Fri 10 July.
-
This event will be open to any pair where both players are from a small or regional Club.
-
Pairs do not have to be nominated by a club, nor do they have to be members of the same club.
-
There will be a $30 entry fee rebate for players entering both Country Club Championship events (the rebate will be processed after the congress).
Our club is also sponsoring, jointly with the Monaro Bridge Club, a Graded Pairs event on Thursday 9th July 2026. Details of the sponsorship will be determined shortly. The grades are:
-
< 15 masterpoints
-
< 100 mps
-
< 300 mps
