5/12 NO TRUMP BIDDING - We will be working on how the transfers and stayman bids are advantageous because of their being in the strong  hand with the lead (particularly the opening lead) coming into and not through the strong hand.

About South Bend Bridge

About South Bend Bridge

The SBBC, an American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) affiliated, non-profit, bridge club, is run by a Board of Directors consisting of seven members, with three elected at the September Annual Meeting to serve a three-year term. Each new board chooses its president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. The Board selects the Club Manager, who handles most of the organizational functions including reporting masterpoint totals for the prior month, year to date, and lifetime, for all of our members. Our directors are ACBL certified, and they meet regularly to work for the improvement of our playing conditions.

We are owned by our members (over 115) who pay annual dues of $30. Our games are at 1pm. We are strict on our starting times and recommend that everyone be seated by ten minutes before the game.

Also part of our mission is to teach and support all who would like to learn or become better players; we run several classes for beginners to advanced students of the game. More information is under the "Education" tab.

The South Bend Bridge Club is located at 2436 Miracle Lane, Town & Country Shopping Center, Mishawaka, IN. 46545. The club is next door to Cosimo & Susie’s Restaurant, at the North end of the Town & Country Shopping Center.

Please do not hesitate to call the club at (574) 255-6613 and speak with Marty or one of our directors for more information.

Our email is southbendbridge@gmail.com, or please use our contact form.

What South Bend Bridge Offers

We offer friendship and a community of bridge lovers. We publish a monthly newsletter featuring honors players, game highlights, director’s rulings, bridge tips and the latest schedule of classes for students of all levels offered by our qualified teachers. We furnish monthly calendars to our members which is also available online. Membership is a value - you get to be entertained and exercise your brain for 3.5 hours!

SBBC participates in The Common Game, sponsored by ACBL District Nine (Florida). We use the Bridge Mate scoring system and can produce hand records. All of our results and hand records are available on the South Bend Bridge Club common game page.
