teamwork, and problem-solving. If you’ve ever wanted to learn to play, come
join us as we discuss the basics and the resources that can take your game
to the next level.

This course is ideal for those who have never played bridge before. If you’ve already
taken Beginning Bridge classes, please contact Jacquie for information about
Beginning Bridge II or Intermediate Bridge classes.
Charlie Belusa is an experienced bridge player, club director, and bridge teacher who
aims to uncomplicate bridge as much as possible. She has played bridge casually at
kitchen tables and competitively across North America.

| Beyond The Basics - Intermediate Bridge With Buck |
Classes cover bidding, play of the hand, and defense. Handout and practice
deals are provided every week.
Upcoming topics: Takeout, Negative, and Re-Opening Doubles.
Instructor: Buck Buchanan, an ABTA Master Teacher and the 2019 District 16
(Texas and Mexico) Teacher of the Year.
Starting Thursday, February 27, and continuing weekly.
Lesson time: Noon to 2 pm.
Location: Sons of Utah Pioneers (3301 E Louise Ave, SLC).
Cost: $10. (Pay for four classes, get the fifth free.)

Play & Learn is a short bridge lesson or Q&A session followed by a bridge game
open to any new player or ACBL member with fewer than 49 masterpoints*.
An experienced bridge player and teacher will be available throughout the
game to answer questions and help you navigate the trickiest hands.
