| SHERBORNE BRIDGE CLUB |
Sherborne Bridge Club aims to provide friendly, enjoyable, competitive duplicate bridge using computer dealt hands and bridgemate scoring.
The club runs 2 duplicate F2F sessions a week at the Terraces in Sherborne commencing at 2.00pm on Mondays and 7.00pm on Tuesdays.
In conjunction with Castle Cary Bridge Club, one online pairs session is held on the Realbridge platform at 7.00pm on Wednesdays. Please see item below and "Wednesday Online Bridge" in the Left Hand menu.
The Club is affiliated to the EBU and Dorset County Bridge Association. Masterpoints are available for all Club sessions.
On Mondays the Club runs a Host System so that you can turn up to play and are guaranteed to find a partner.
For other sessions we have a Partner search facility on our website, which many find useful.
New members and visitors are always welcome and please contact either the Club or Membership Secretary. Details are in the Left Hand Menu –Information – Committee section.
Sherborne Bridge Club also has a rubber bridge section who play between mid September through to mid April. They meet at 2.00pm on Thursdays at Sherborne Bowls Club, Culverhayes Car Park.

This takes place every Wednesday evening starting at 7:00 PM
Players are expected to login at 6:45 PM and please use your EBU number to assist your Director

| Monday Handicaps |
We are continuing with the Monday Handicap Competition on the second Monday of each month.
This will not effect the main competition and both sets of results will be shown at the end of the session.

| ANNOUNCING & ALERTING |
The English Bridge Union has made changes to the scheme of announcements effective August 1st 2024.
This only applies to the EBU. So, if you play in any clubs or competitions playing to the EBU rules, you will be expected to use the Alerting and Announcing rules as explained below.

The English Bridge Union have recently re-written the rules regarding "Best
Behaviour at Bridge". To see the amended rules, click on "EBU Information" on
the left hand menu. Then click on "Best Behaviour 21".

Donation to Friends of the Yeatman Hospital
Members may be interested to see the response from the Honorary Treasurer of the Friends of the Yeatman Hospital in response to the Club’s donation of £247.50.
This was the sum raised at the recent Henton Charity event.
Many thanks for the generous donations from our members who played in the Henton Trophy competitions and to Sherborne Football Club who waived our rental for the competition sessions.
