Welcome to Selsdon Bridge Club

Selsdon is a friendly club based at the Methodist Church in Sanderstead. We welcome guests so please feel free to come along - Your first visit is free!

If you would like to come but haven't a partner then you can simply turn up and be guaranteed a partner via the steward system, except on competition nights, please see our calendar for details.

We play Duplicate Bridge every Thursday evening, arriving at 7:20 for a 7:30 start in Sanderstead Methodist Church, Limpsfield Rd, CR2 9EF.

The Club uses the BridgeMates real time scoring system so that the current position is constantly updated onto a computer screen.

We always use duplimated boards with a copy of the hands available at the end of the session. For the technically minded, we play to EBU Blue Book Level 5. EBU Master Points are awarded for all events.

We have a range of expertise amongst our players and we encourage a friendly and respectful approach at the table for the enjoyment of all. Our average session has an NGS of 54.5%.

You can contact us by clicking here or contact one of our committee members - for details see here.

Club now open for face to face bridge

Hello everyone. We are pleased to announce that we are now open for face to face bridge.

YOU MUST HAVE HAD A FULL SET OF VACCINATIONS. Please do not attend unless you have had both vaccinations and a booster where available.

FACE MASKS: While face masks are no longer mandatory, please do feel free to wear one and we would especially ask you to do so if requested by someone at your table.

SANITIZERS: The Church has sanitising stations in the vestibule and by the toilets. The Club will provide a large bottle of sanitizer in the hall should you wish to use it at any time.

DISINFECTING SURFACES: On arrival we will disinfect door handles, light switches etc . Before leaving we have also been asked to disinfect any surfaces we may have touched.

VENTILATION: Windows and doors will be kept open for the circulation of air so remember to bring warm clothing if necessary.

KITCHEN: The kitchen will be available for your use and we are providing refreshments. Anyone using the kitchen must ensure you leave it clean and use disinfectant wipes that we will provide.

PLEASE PUT YOUR CHAIR AWAY: Chairs will be at the back of the hall under tarpaulin and therefore at the end of the evening, please put your chair at the back of the hall.

STEWARD: Annette will be going around with a list asking for volunteers for the rest of the year.
