Welcome to Seaham Bridge Club
About Us
About Us

Seaham Bridge Club is a small and friendly club located in East Durham. It has members from much of the surrounding area including Durham, Chester-le-Street, Peterlee, Easington, Houghton and Sunderland.

The club has a healthy and active membership with a range of playing abilities and currently we have two sessions per week - Monday evenings and Wednesday afternoons.  Membership numbers have increased substantially since the start of 2017 due to a mix of group and individual teaching offered to new players.

Guests, visitors and new members are always welcome.

The club house is at 3, North Tce, Seaham, Co Durham, SR7 7EU and contact details can be found by clicking "Information" and then "Committee".

North Terrace, which is popular with visitors who are attracted to its numerous restaurants, coffee shops and bars faces onto the North Sea overlooking the towns cenotaph and the iconic sculpture of a First World War soldier "Tommy" by local artist Ray Lonsdale.

The club house is the southernmost property in the terrace on the roundabout at the intersection of North Terrace (A182) and North Railway St.  It faces the entrance to Seaham Marina and is opposite the former Barclays Bank bulding which is currently under conversion (to a McDonalds?).

The club has a small car park at the rear but there is adaquate free public parking within a 2 minute walk.  Byron Place shopping centre is only a few minutes walk as are a number of local bus stops.

We have six trophies which are played for each year between October and March and these are divided between the 2 weekly sessions.

Club History
Club History

Seaham Bridge Club was founded in 1946 by a group of local enthusiasts.  Shortly after establishing the club the members each contributed to enable the purchase of its first property in North Terrace and the club proved so successful that it did not take long for the members to recover their investment.  It continued to occupy its original premises until 1992 when, to accommodate commercial redevelopment it moved further along North Terrace to its current location.
