CAR PARKING
CAR PARKING

it can be difficult when everyone arrives at once, but would you please try and park tight to the car already parked, or to the top fence.   At the moment a lot of us are playing on a Saturday, and if everyone improves their parking, we can get all the cars in!

Thanks.

ITEMS REQUIRING CLARIFICATION

We have been playing a few weeks now on Saturday evenings and it has emerged that two items require clarification.

1.  NO UNDOs.  If a mistake has been made in the bidding or card play, it stands.  Remember, please, that bridge is a game of intense concentration. Remember also the saying 'a card laid is a card played'.

2.  PASSED OUT BOARD.  Our brief is to play 20 boards and to record the scores we make on those boards.  It may seem we are playing Chicago, but because we are scored in IMPs, we receive a score in comparison with everyone else who has played the boards, so a passed out board attracts a score, and is therefore part of the 20.

The Scout Hut offers a good game of bridge played in a friendly atmosphere.  We have players of all abilities, and, whilst not affiliated to the EBU, play as much as possible in accordance with their rules without getting too pernickety.  Visitors are always welcome, but as we are a small club we do not have a host system, please see 'partners' on  our 'information'  page.

ONLINE BRIDGE

For anyone wanting to play online, I have found two options (so far).

BBO, BridgeBase.com,    And

BCL, Bridge club live,  bridgeclublive.com.   This one is English.
