SEPTEMBER 2026 NEWSLETTER
PRO/AM GAME on August 23:
On a hot Sunday afternoon, 50 bridge players gathered at the Bridge Center for a Pro/Am game.
Players gathered at 12:30 for the ‘draw a partner’ with the Pro players' names being drawn out of,
well not a hat, but a coffee cup! As always Santa Barbara players
were treated to an array of sweets and savories. Thank you to all who brought refreshments.
Unfortunately there were not enough Pro players to pair up with all the Ams
so several Ams needed to pair up for the game. A special shout-out goes to Gretchen Zee
and Jack Skinner, both very new players but their partnership gained 6th place and .34MPs in the EW results.

EDUCATION AND CLASSES
Mentored workshops: Players of all levels are encouraged to drop in
Saturday mornings 9:30-11:30 am for mentored play. $10/session. Please carpool.
Ronnie Morris 2/1 Game Forcing Special Series of 6 classes (all different),
on Tuesdays at 9:30am starting on Tuesday, September 15 $100 for the Series.
