Andy Eastwood started playing bridge at the University of Liverpool in England, where he got a BS degree and PhD in biochemistry. He played highly competitive tournament bridge in the 80s, winning a national pairs event and representing Great Britain Under-26s and coming in second in the European Championship. After a 25-year break, he resumed playing when he retired, and how has over 8,000 Masterpoints.
