Our popular short duplicate Monday Afternoon last week, seven tables played a Web Mitchell movement. Graham Shaw & Chris Longthorn got the best North / South result with 59.82; East / West was led by Theresa Hillier & June Rudman with 67.86.

​Brian Mawby & David Reed led a ​five table ​Howell movement on Monday Evening with ​68.23.

On Tuesday Afternoon ​nine tables played a two-winner Mitchell movement. ​Jim Bainbridge & Lo Tolbutt shared the top of North / South with ​Pat Exelby & Don Prowse both scoring ​​60.42; East / West was topped by ​John Cockburn & Alan Page with ​56.85 followed by Carole Broadhurst & Maxine Ross with 54.46.

Our summer pairs handicap competition is now/still led by ​John Cockburn and Pauline Smith.

​Four tables practised a variety of ​1 NT and Response ​situations,​ on Wednesday Morning talking about the outcomes on each board.

​Opening strong unbalanced hands was the topic on Thursday Morning. ​Two tables practised a variety of situations, talking about the outcomes on each board.

On Thursday Afternoon ​six and a half tables played a ​single hestitation Mitchell movement. ​Jim & Nicky Bainbridge led with ​59.62; ​John Cockburn & Chris Longthorn followed with ​58.10.
