Our popular short duplicate Monday Afternoon last week, nine tables played a Web Mitchell movement. Robyn Crighton & Janette Palmer got the best North / South result with 72.32; East / West was led by Pat Stubbings & Paula Pugh with 59.82.

Nicky & Jim Bainbridge led a five table Three Quarter Howell movement on Monday Evening with 69.27.

On Tuesday Afternoon eleven and a half tables played a two-winner Mitchell movement. Lo Tolbutt & Jim Bainbridge led a closely fought North / South with 55.23; East / West was topped by Roger Morton & Judy Clarke with 61.25.

Suit Responses to 1NT Openings was the topic on Wednesday Morning and Negative Doubles were the coaching topics this week on Wednesday and Thursday Morning. Players practised a variety of situations, talking about the outcomes on each board.

On Thursday Afternoon seven and a half tables played a two-winner Mitchell movement. Lyn & Bill Stubbins led North / South with 57.29; East / West was topped by Margaret Aitchison & Brian Mawby with 56.75.
