Simultaneous Pairs |
The club participates in two simultaneous pairs charity events during each year, held as normal duplicate club evenings. These are national events hosted by ECATS, so club members effectively compete and are ranked with all other players from every participating club. There is a small increase in the table money for these events, which the club donates to the nominated charity.
Children in Need Held in March. For more information, see the ECATS website here.
Charity Challenge Held in November. For more information, see the ECATS website here.
The event dates are identified on the club calendar when known.

EBU Competitions |
Masters Pairs
The EBU stages a number of events, including the Masters Pairs competition, its annual event for members whose Master Point rank is below Regional Master. This is a two-session simultaneous event held at venues around the country, scored nationally with results displayed over the internet. For details of the nearest local heat and how to enter, see the EBU website (try this link for latest information).
Many other EBU competitions are available for "serious" bridge players, including the various Ranked Masters Pairs for those who are ranked Regional Master or above and a large number of other events, too numerous to mention. Full details can be found on the EBU website.
