Duplicate sessions are held during the winter months of October to March (except for December) but the Tuesday afternoon sessions continue through until the last Tuesday in June.   Thursday evenings duplicate and supper are held usually on the second and fourth Thursdays of each winter month.    We start at 6.30pm with club supper around 8pm and a 10.30pm finish.   Tuesday afternoon sessions are also held every Tuesday during the winter months and start at 1.30pm, with a 4.30pm finish.   The Tuesday afternoon sessions are more gentle.   We use our own bridgemates and directing is by our own qualified directors.   Visitors are welcome to all these sessions provided they are introduced and accompanied by a member of RMS.   Booking forms are on the website.

There are special duplicate sessions held at Christmas and Easter and an annual Men v Ladies match in November. 

If you don't have a bridge partner and would like to play please contact Pip Smitham and he will try and find you one.   Alternatively on Tuesday afternoons if you have booked as a single we will endeavour to find you a partner.  We are reluctant to create 'half' tables but if the Director is not playing he/she will be happy to play with you.

Monday afternoons are set aside for Rubber and Chicago bridge, played for small stakes. These are friendly sessions which take place in the Card Room at 1.30pm throughout the year.

Mini Bridge Drives are held on the first Wednesday of every month, other than in the summer, and a number of prizes are awarded.

During the winter a Rubber bridge competition is played. It starts with a “round-robin” and then moves on to knock-out for the final stages. This is very popular with members, and players of all standards take part.

Sign-up sheets are online in July each year and entries close on 31st August..

The Bridge Section has a busy match fixture list playing other prestigious clubs in the area. There are both duplicate and rubber bridge matches as well as combined golf and bridge.
