5. Real name - Optional but could be useful

6.  ACBL number - Leave blank

7. Skill level - you choose

8. Country - England

9. Agree the terms of service by checking the box the hit the 'register' tab

When you receive the activation e-mail, click on the confirm tab then your account will be activated and you will be able to start playing on BBO.

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS IF WE RETURN TO BBO

1. Go to www.bridgebase.com at least 10 minutes before play is due to start. When playing your first session, we recommend 30 minutes before the start time.

2.  Select Competitive

3. Select all tournaments

4. Type RAC Woodcote Park in the search box and press enter or scroll down to the events starting at 6.30pm

5. Click on the event and, when prompted, enter your partners BBO username (partner needs to be on the website at this point).

6. Your partnership should be confirmed - now wait to play. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT BOTH YOU AND YOUR PARTNER ARE ONLINE WHEN THE COMPETITION STARTS.

When you make an alertable or announceable bid on BBO, you should self-alert by entering an explanation in the bidding box BEFORE you make the bid . Both opponents will be able to see this but not your partner. If you want an opponent to explain their bid, you can click on the bid and the opponent is prompted to enter an explanation.

There are 2 BBO training videos posted below, and, it is recommended that players watch these to see how it all works before playing.

Most problems that we experience during a session are with connectivity. If you lose connection, please try to get back online to the competitive part of the website as soon as possible. Your place will be reserved for you. The other issue has been players turning up to play but finding they have run out of BB$. Your balance should appear each time you login. You can also check by clicking on the blue BB$ tab, then ‘account activity’.
