Please note that in September we will have two members from Wanlip and two members from Cossington groups attending a course for the running of a bridge club and introduction to  tournament Directing of games. These members are from Wanlip club Peter Geary and Chris Barlow and Cossington club..Janette Mathews and Andy Satterthwaite. This will give both clubs very good back and making the running of both clubs stronger, we wish all the attendees thanks in going the extra mile for their clubs.                              We also give a big thank you To Sarah Gilbert for organising this for both clubs.

Introduction of Rothley Website

♠ This information is regarding our new venture of having a shared website between ourselves (Wanlip) and our sister club (Cossington). This is to enable us to improve our systems and information as we will be introducing electronic scoring with the BRIDGEMATE II system in Early 2025. This will improve our process greatly once our players become familiar with it. This shared financial project is to bring us in line with other bridge clubs, and as we have a large overlap of players it makes sound sense.

We are now live with our website after a testing period and you will see that past games of both Cossington and Wanlip groups are ready to view. This is hosted on the Bridgeweb site where many of you will already be familiar with.

♣  To continue to get on the website, you will initially have to put the full address on the main address panel on your computer until the search engines pick up the usage and allow this facility to be live.

In the near future you will all be issue with a personal Identification number which will be required for the Bridgemate scoring system as it will identify you by name on the bridge score system, it will also allow you to access the members area on the web site. I am sure you will all give your full backing to both Cossington and Wanlip groups in this new venture.

Please note this is a shared venture only and Both Wanlip club and Cossington clubs will continue to run independently as they do now but under the combined name of Rothley Bridge Club.
