Book now for Intro to Duplicate - 8 Nov
Book now for Intro to Duplicate (Online, with Tim)

You are registering for a  3 lesson online course ‘Introduction to Duplicate Bridge’ led by Tim Chanter intended for those who have completed a Beginner Bridge course and/or played in Supervised Play, but not yet dipped a toe into duplicate bridge - as well as for those who have played a little duplicate but would like to understand better how it works.

The mini-course will start on November 8th, 17:00. If this time slot doesnt work for you, we do plan to run this course again in the near future.

There will be three sessions starting each of which will comprise about a half hour discussion on Zoom, followed by a duplicate session using RealBridge.  If time allows, there will be a review of some of the boards after each session (and if time does not, then this will be in the form of a written commentary on the boards)

The cost of the course is £55, payable to Tim.

The mini-course will focus on the practicalities of duplicate bridge play including:

  • How a duplicate movement works
  • Etiquette and 'Best Behaviour at Bridge'
  • Alerting / Announcing
  • Use of the Stop Card
  • The role of the Tournament Director
  • How match-pointed scoring works
