Many of our new students have been able to attend the weekly drop-in sessions throughout the summer, This introduction day is intended to enable anyone who hasn't been able to come along to those drop in sessions, or who just wants to revise and practice the essentials of card play, to get up to speed before Julia's beginner courses start in the first week of September. This day is a pre-requisite for joining Julia's beginners courses.

If you are unable to come to this introduction day we recommend you visit the club on our Beginners Open Day on Saturday Sept 13th (no need to pre-book) for some free taster sessions for getting started. Students can then also sign up for the beginners course to be run by Lyn and Glen on Tuesday mornings, starting October 13th. If you are not already registered with us, please could you let us know your contact details via our "Register an Interest" booking page. We will then add you to our student mailing list.

The cost for this introduction day is £40 (a discounted option is available if you have attended the drop in sessions already) and payment should be made in advance to Julia. We will send payment information after booking.

During the introduction day, snacks, sandwiches and drinks will be available for purchase from the bar (please bring a credit/debit card, we are "cashless"). Street parking is free at weekends. Bus information can be found HERE

In the evening after the introduction day we have a bridge and supper event, starting from 6pm. Julia and the club would like to invite you to stay on to join our other members for the dinner (food provided by our local Thai restaurant) and then do some more practice afterwards with Julia's help. The cost of the 2-course dinner (and bridge) is £20/person - drinks not included.

Julia will then be starting two beginners courses on Sept 3rd (Wednesday evenings) and Sept 4th (Thursday afternoons). Normally students would book for just one or other of these courses - but it will be possible to swap between the two occasionally or long term if you find that you would otherwise be missing a class. If you miss a week, don't worry ! Every week Julia will be available 30 mins before the class to do a re-cap of the previous week's topic. We provide all materials as well as a link to video recordings of equivalent lessons we have run in the past - so that you can revise watching these clips at your convenience. All of our students are encouraged to practice at the club's supervised play sessions or using resources on nofearbridge.co.uk - Julia will provide a discount code for all her students.

Please make a plan to keep the relevant time slot free going forward since I anticipate that as soon as the course finishes, it will immediately evolve in to supervised play sessions in the same timeslot every week.

Julia will receive confirmation of any bookings and be in touch with more information as well as payment information.
