WELCOME TO RICHMOND BRIDGE CLUB
WELCOME TO RICHMOND BRIDGE CLUB

Welcome to Richmond Bridge Club the most popular and successful EBU affiliated club in the country. Richmond Bridge club has been the No.1 club in the country for 9 consecutive years and we hope we are creating some sort of record. The club is housed in the old Bowling Club Pavilion in Cambridge Park, nestling between Richmond and Twickenham in South-West London. The Clubhouse, extensively refurbished in 2002, is now probably one of the finest in Surrey and  can accommodate 36-37  tables.

We offer a full range of duplicate bridge playing facilities from Monday to Friday, some Saturday Evenings and Sunday afternoons. The club also offers lessons for players of all standards to learn bridge as a beginner or to improve their bridge with various Refresher and Intermediate courses. If you are interested in learning please register by clicking here. Afternoon sessions start promptly at 1.45pm (start-time on Sundays is 2.30pm) and  in the evenings, play begins at 7.30pm. Special events are often held at weekends.

Richmond Bridge Club is a  charitable incorporated organisation - charity no. 1175613 Registered in England - company no. CE012010

PRINCESS ALICE HOSPICE
PRINCESS ALICE HOSPICE

I am sure you will be delighted to see Lee Byram presenting a cheque to Princess Alice on behalf of the club. As a result of Cafe Bridge and the recent Swiss Pairs, the club have donated a whopping £7,163. This could not have been possible without the extraordinary generosity of our members and visitors participating and buying raffle tickets at those events. The hospice are delighted

Richmond Bridge Club Open Day

As well as being the most popular EBU-affiliated bridge club in England, Richmond Bridge Club also boasts a thriving teaching programme for new and improving players. At any one time the club has over 50 students learning to play the game or improve their skills. We have invested in modern equipment which include remote screens and roof installed projectors pushing the club to the forefront of technology and making learning a real pleasure. Please come along to our Open Day on Saturday 31 August. Pop in when ever it suits you, we will be there between 11.00am and 3.00pm. Join us for a cup of coffee and enjoy a piece of cake while you look around, meet our teachers and play a hand or two of Mini Bridge. You do not need to know anything about bridge. Everybody is welcome.

BRIDGE THE GAP

Saturday 14 September at 2pm

This fun session bridges the gap between social bridge and duplicate bridge. Our friendly and experienced teacher, Richard Banbury, will explain how the game of duplicate bridge is played and guide you through some of the differences between social bridge and duplicate.
We will keep the theory to a minimum and spend most of the time playing real hands. This will give you a chance to use the bidding boxes, see how the scoring system works and see how you fare overall. Halfway through the afternoon, we will break for tea or coffee and delicious cakes. We will aim to finish at around 6pm.

There will be a prize for the winner of each round and, hopefully, we will persuade all you kitchen bridge lovers to try duplicate! If you want to know more please click here to download the leaflet.  If you would like to come along please Click here to Book

NO 1 AGAIN (9 IN A ROW)
NO 1 AGAIN (9 IN A ROW)

I am delighted to tell you that the EBU have announced that we are yet again the best attended affiliated club in the country for the 9th year in succession. (2011-2019). Please see the EBU website for the list of clubs. We know this accolade would not be possible without the support of our incredibly loyal and wonderful members. We will continue to work as hard as possible to maintain the high level of service you so deserve.

LATE ARRIVALS
LATE ARRIVALS

All players should be seated at least 10 minutes before the session starts. Arriving late without warning is rude, and should be avoided if at all possible. If you are delayed en-route to a session, please be sure to call and tell us so that we may reserve space for you in the movement (or inform your waiting partner), otherwise you risk a wasted journey.
