Welcome to Richmond Bridge Club, the most popular and successful EBU affiliated club in the country!  A friendly and progressive club, we are housed in the old Bowling Club Pavilion in Cambridge Park, nestled between Richmond & Twickenham.  Our Clubhouse has multiple playing rooms, teaching facilities and a fully licensed bar.

We offer a range of duplicate bridge sessions every day of the week for players of all abilities - our full schedule of regular events may be found here.

Our Academy offers lessons for new players, beginners and improvers, and seminars for more experienced players. For more detail about the different sessions for novices and improvers, please click here.

The club no longer runs a Thursday morning BBO session due to reduced numbers.

This is an Indian restaurant whom we have used regularly before - Sheetal and her team always get great reviews.

The menu options are :

(1) Chicken Jalfrezi (Mild)

(2) Slow Cooked Lamb Curry

(3) Tadka Daal with Onion Bhaji (Vegan and Gluten Free)

(4) Chicken Biryani 

We will have (a) a duplicate for our more experienced members and (b) a separate supervised session for students (please show this on your booking).  

The price (incl bridge) is £25 per player for both members and visitors

Our next BLUE POINTED SWISS PAIRS will take place at 12:00 on Sunday 6th December 2026 in the CLUBHOUSE. Everyone welcome. The entry fee is £15 per player. Richard Banbury will be directing the 36-board event which will be played across two sessions.

There will be a break for complimentary scones, Devonshire clotted cream and speciality jams. A full bar service will also be available on the day.

NB: There will be no cash prizes.

We have just been informed that Chrissie Badgett passed away on October 1st after a short illness.

Richard Humphreys passed away May 22nd.

We are sad to report that John Clark passed away on the 8th of September. John was a frequent player at the club before the covid pandemic and met his wife, Nadia, at the Club. There is a private funeral for close friends and family on the 14th of October followed by a more informal gathering at The Rising Sun Pub near the club on the same date from 6pm for anyone wishing to drop in.  A fundraiser as been set up for the boys in lieu of flowers:

We are delighted to welcome back to the club Andrew Robson (OBE) on Monday 26th October to lead a day of bridge from 10am to 3.30pm (with a break for lunch).

Andrew is widely regarded as one of the finest bridge players/teachers/writers in the world and is the bridge columnist for the Times. As a player, Andrew won the World Junior Championships in 1989, the European Championships in 1991, and the list of tournament successes is too long to list. His teaching is also legendary with seminars run regularly at clubs all round the country. Click here for more info about Andrew
