Our Charity morning in aid of Lakers had a great turnout with 17 tables - Thank you to everyone who played and to those who donated but were unable to attend.

Diane Cahill of Lakers told us of the latest news from Lakers including the new sports hall - she thanked Maeve & Rathdown Bridge Club for choosing Lakers

Maeve presented a large cheque for the amount of € 1,725 to Diane

Congratulations to the winners of our first Running Lamb competition

1st Jill Mellon 56 points
2nd Nigel Locke 53 points
3rd= Carol Pye 52.5 points
3rd= Helen Wheeler 52.5 points

 

There were 4 events in the competition
Points were awarded to the ranking in each event - 20 for 1st, 19 for 2nd, etc
Your best 3 scores were counted as long as you played with different partners

Rathdown Bridge Club held it's Inaugural President's Prize on 3rd and 10th February 2026.

New Season has started !

Rathdown Bridge Club started back in September and we are delighted to have had a great start to our second year.

We have played  2 rounds of our 'Running Lamb' competition which is based on the scores achieved when playing with different partners.

 

 

 

How to become a member

Membership Application forms for Rathdown Bridge Club are available at the club on Tuesday mornings in the Bridge Centre,.

The annual subscription for Rathdown Bridge Club is € 25 (over-80's €12.50)

The club is affiliated to the Contract Bridge Association of Ireland

Table money is €5 to play each week and cash prizes are awarded on a weekly basis

If you are not already a member of Greystones Bridge Centre, we also have Application Forms for membership of the Centre.

This is a requirement for those joining any of the bridge clubs which run in the Bridge Centre.

The annual Bridge Centre fee is € 65 (over-80's €30)

Brendan follows up with a Hand Analysis on one or two hands each week when he explains best bidding and play of the cards

This  is a great opportunity for players of all levels to pick up some tips for bidding and play
