Our summer party took place on 15th June 2026, and we took this opportunity to mark the 15th anniversary of our club. We were delighted to have our founding father (and regular player), Martin Cowley there. Martin gave us a brief background to the establishment of the club, along with the many roles he performed during its initial period. He introduced Dermot O’Brien, CEO of CBAI, member of Railway Union BC and 1st President of the Club. We were delighted to welcome 12 of the 14 members who have held the office of president over the 15 years.
There was a great turnout and a short game of bridge was followed by supper, chat and our end of year awards.
The Spirit of Railway Union Award was presented to the O’Meara/DeCourcy family in acknowledgement of all they do for the club, including the donning of a certain red suit at Christmas.

The award for Most Slams Bid and Made was won by Tony Hayes.

Novice of the Year went to Colette Demsey.

The best B2 player was Ciarán Scollard

The best B1 player was Charles Alken.

Margaret Moran was awarded the best A2 player.

Mary MacAodha won the award for best A1 player.

The best Master was Maeve Flanagan.

Finally, the Player of the Year award was presented to Marian White.

Fiona and Caroline were thanked for their TD role in Thursday morning bridge.

Congratulations to all the winners and wishing all our members a relaxing, bridge filled summer.
