ONLINE DUPLICATE SESSIONS VIA BBO

What’s happening?

Arrangements have been made for online duplicate sessions through BBO. These are open to members of Preston, Bolton and Southport Clubs

If you want to play in a session, you and your partner need to be registered (see below).

If you intend to play in a session, please log into BBO at least 20 mins before the session is due to start to ensure you are allocated a starting position.  Sessions may be limited to 20 tables.

There's a bit you need to learn to start playing but it is really quite straightforward, if you read the info below carefully.

Registering

1) First you need to log onto BBO by clicking HERE and get a BBO Username.  10 characters, no spaces.

2) Then you need to let us know your BBO Username by registering for PBC online sessions.

To do this please click on the Title (Details about online sessions) at the top of this block.

3) You only need to register once.

4) I am now usually feeding registrations to our organiser once a week only, so if you have registered any day between Tuesday and Sunday (inclusive), the first session you will be able to play in is the next Tuesday.  If you have registered on a Monday, the first session you will be able to play in is, a week on Tuesday.

How to play in our sessions on BBO

a) You need to watch this video that explains all you need to know.  Please click HERE.

b) You will have seen how to join a session in the video.  This is summarised in the document you will find by clicking How to join PBCs online sessions on BBO.pdf.  You will need to search for the tournament called Lancashire BPS.

c) Bidding and playing the cards is pretty straightforward on BBO, you simply left click on the bid or card you want to play.  Two important functions (Alert and Undo) that you need to be aware of, are explained in the video that you will find by clicking HERE.
