The Committee have been reviewing the options for restarting the Club activities and have been guided by your feedback to the last email, guidance from the EBU and experience from other local bridge clubs.

We particularly looked into the possibility of playing in an afternoon but unfortunately the Main Hall is not available during the afternoons and the alternative Club Room will only take a maximum of 8 tables which may not meet our requirements going forward. We were also concerned that there might not be sufficient ventilation in the smaller room so requiring a lot of open windows.

We have therefore decided that we will continue on Tuesday evening at 7.30 on the basis outlined below and review the situation at Xmas. We then should have a better understanding of numbers attending and members response to the playing environment.

We intend to have:

• An understanding that all attending have been doubly vaccinated
• A personal choice regarding mask wearing
• Greater space between tables
• Adequate ventilation in a large room but suggesting everyone wears an extra layer
• An orchestrated movement of E-W pairings between tables
• Players retaining their bidding box throughout the session
• An expectation that everyone will bring hand sanitiser and use appropriately
• Table listing done and monies collected by one person
• North scoring

We will have the first session on October 12^th and it would be helpful if everyone intending to play on any of the 12^th, 19^th and 26^th October sessions would either preferably click on the link Prestbury Signup Sheet or failing this, email Jenny at jenny.purves@btinternet.com
