Checklist for online pairs organisers

• Director needs following skills/assets (it is possible that we may ultimately create  two roles director + manager):
  • should have the authority to conduct tournaments on BBO (this is not strictly correct)
  • should know how to conduct tournaments on BBO including "Tips and Tricks" (to be collected from Yogesh)
  • Should know how to clone BBO results so that they can be uploaded to bridgewebs.com at https://www.bridgewebs.com/cgi-bin/bwon/bw.cgi?club=prba&pid=display_past&sessid=811088608616785
  • Should be familiar with our backend software for generating subscribe lists etc.
• Director should verify that he is an admin on the "PRBA Broadcast list" Whatsapp group
• Determine how many directors will be needed and make sure they are appointed
• Identify date, time and name for the online tournament. 
• Identify the time when the registration will start
• Communicate the above information in advance on Whatsapp group, email and post on our web portal
• After the deadline create a list of subscribers eligible to play in tournament.  Upload the approved player list to BBO
• Ensure that we send out Whatsapp messages to broadcast list in a timely manner:
  • When tournaments are open for registration
  • Ten minutes before the tournament when players are required to be logged into BBO
• After the tournament, upload results to bridgewebs site and inform on Whatsapp messages to broadcast list
• Identify prize winners and arrange to have prizes disbursed appropriately
• Arrange to have payment for directors etc. made/scheduled
• The person who sets the game should take care that as far as possible the tournament should be clocked. In case of match point it can be unclocked but in IMP event it should be clocked as the imp shown are not as per our scoring method.
• The person who is official director can leave bbo after game setting is done.
• He has to add director before leaving the bbo then other director can take care.
• Few things can be changed by the official tournament director only. Such as changing from clocked to unclock, imp to match point.
