PBBC is a member of SCBU (Southern Coast Bridge Union), along with Knysna and George. As part of our commitment to them, we play competitively against them.

Southern Cape Intertown League 2025

Procedures agreed for 2025

Each club is represented by an A team and a B team.

The league will be played on BBO

Each club should have sufficient people capable of setting up (suggest 6 people to cater for people on leave)

Players should be paid up members of the SABF and the Club for which they play.

Players need to be resident in the Souhern Cape for at least half a year to qualify to play. 

Each club will play three matches with the other teams

Matches will be scheduled for Thursday morning commencing at 09h00 

The playing format will be retained, four rounds of 7 boards

Each round shoud be a maximum of 56 minutes (7 X 8 minutes)

Should a player be not available for more than 30 minutes, that players team will forfeit the match

Scoring: We will use the 20 point scoring

Each club will appoint a league captain

All match results should be forwarded to Peter Ward (pkward@netactive.co.za or 082 567 983)

Peter Ward will keep the table up to date and feedback the results

All club reprentaives should forward their player whattsapp numbers so that a whattsapp group can be created

Should a town not be able to schedule a match, they will forfeit the match 5-15

Oct 23rd – Plett vs Knysna
