Setting Up a Session

Pre session

Arrive around 45 minutes prior to the start of the session if possible, and:

  • Collect the keys for the cupboards from Reception and sign them out on sheet
  • Open some widows/doors for ventilation
  • Check from the Function Sheet (copy in cupboard) that - the correct number of tables are set for the anticipated numbers, water and glasses delivered and that there is a Directors table and screens for Duplicate Sessions and flipchart and pens for Supervised sessions
  • Put out the tablecloths, bidding boxes and score cards
  • Put the laptop, leads, table numbers, bell etc on the Director’s table
  • Collect the table money using the Square Terminal
  • Agree the movement with the Director – two winner Mitchell wherever possible
  • Parish notices if any

Post session

  • If Director doesn’t do it, ask members to put their bidding boxes and tablecloths in the appropriate boxes
  • Leave the printer leads plugged in the printer, place the computer leads, mouse and extension lead in the Bridgemates box
  • Record the date the boards were played on the paper slip with the boards case
  • Put the laptop etc in the cupboards and lock up
  • Check that no-one has left anything behind
  • Return keys to Reception and sign them back in on sheet
  • Return all items to the same positions you found them

Our Storage Cupboards are now in the Finlay Suite

  • Cupboard 1. Top Shelf - Dealing Machine, Card Reader & 1 small silver box of boards. Bottom Shelf - 3 plastic boxes of red bidding boxes
  • Cupboard 2. Top Shelf - green box, printer and 2 flat silver boxes of board. Bottom Shelf - 5 silver boxes of boards stacked vertically
  • Cupboard 3. Top Shelf - Bridge Mates Box, place the computer on top and hand sanitizers. Bottom Shelf - 4 large silver boxes of boards stacked vertically
