Thursday 24th February (Match 7 of 7):
Phyllis Court ‘B’ lost to Basingstoke by 63-121 IMP (3-17 VP)
Our final match against Basingstoke was another game of two halves and despite PCBC leading 53-38 after boards, Basingstoke had an almost perfect half taking the final 12 boards 10-83 and eventually wining the match by 121-63 IMP (17-3 VP).
This match was always going to be a challange against the runway leaders and we can take confidence that we gave Basingstoke a closer game than all other teams excpt one!
We finish the season with a winning record of, played 7 won 4 and a top half, fourth place in the league. So well played team, we should all be pleased with our highest ever finish and that we beat some very good teams alog the way!

Tuesday 14th December (Match 5 of 7):
Phyllis Court ‘B’ lost to Stoke Mandeville 'C' by 78-91 IMP (8-12 VP)
Sadly this match marked the end of a winning run and we came in second to a very good Stoke Mandeville team by 78-91 IMP and 8-12 VP's. This was definately a match of two halves and despite a strong comeback in the final 12 boards we were unable to recover from a 37 IMP deficit after the firtst 12 boards. Well played everyone, we nearly clawed it back in the second half!
Depsite the result this was another enjoyable evening played in very good spirit against a very friendly team

Phyllis Court ‘B’ beat The Bridge School at Gerrards Cross by 152-58 IMPS (20-0 VP)
This was another enjoyable evening played in good spirit against a very friendly team from TBSGC
A fabulous performance from everyone this evening resulted in a 152-58 IMPS (20-0 VP) victory. This was a convincing win with, once again, all 4 pairs scoring positive XIMPs and Phyllis Court winning 7 of the 8, 6 board rounds, just narrowly losing one, 0-2, in a very tight mini-match.

Tuesday 2nd November (Match 3 of 7):
Phyllis Court ‘B’ beat Austenwood ‘B’ by 145-110 IMPS (15-5 VP).
A good all-round performance with all 4 pairs scoring positive XIMPs resulted in a 145-110 IMPS (15-5 VP) victory against Austenwood ‘B’ and improved on the 10-10 VP result in the equivalent fixture last season. Well played everyone!
The feedback from both teams was that this was an enjoyable evening and good fun! It seems to me, that as we become more familiar with RealBridge, we are able to enjoy the social interactions as well as the competition. This may actually catch on!

Tuesday 19th October (Match 2 of 7):
Phyllis Court ‘B’ beat South Bucks ‘C’ by 117-88 IMPS (14-6 VP).
Having lost to South Bucks ‘C’ by 147-75 IMPS or 18-2 VPs last season, this was a great result especially considering two members of the team were both feeling under the weather yet turned out and managed to play very well.
After a few issues during our first match the technology worked much better for everyone, and it all seemed far more enjoyable for that!

Monday 27th September (Match 1 of 7):
Phyllis Court ‘B’ beat Naphill by 137-87 IMPS (13-7 VP)
Our first match of the season was away to Naphill. It was an ‘interesting’ evening, from a technology and scoring perspective and while the two captains agreed that Phyllis Court had won, it took a couple of days to work out the final score! Having said that, the RealBridge platform provides a much better social experience than BBO.
The result was a welcome reversal of the corresponding fixture last season when we lost to Naphill by 114-126 or 8-12 VPs.
