YOU ARE INVITED 

Swiss Pairs - 10.00 am Thursday 13th November 2025 Riverside Pavilion.

Please arrive in time to be seated by 10.00 at the latest to ensure play can start at 10.15

You and your partner are invited to enter this event. Please note that, unusually, it will be held in the Riverside Pavilion, starting promptly at 10am, and likely to finish by about 3 - 3.30pm.

You and your partner will start the day playing at a table with people of a similar level and then, depending on the outcome, ascend or descend. There will be five rounds in total during the day, with a sandwich lunch (at participants’ own cost). Sandwiches will need to be pre-ordered, and the necessary forms will be available nearer the day. Prizes will be awarded. The cost will be £8 per head, payable on the day.

If you wish to participate, you MUST register in advance, as a pair (only one registration per pair is required). As numbers may have to be limited, early registration is advised, and you should register in any event no later than Sunday 9 November. You will receive an acknowledgement of registration, and only those whose registrations have been acknowledged will be registered to play, so if you think you have registered but have not received such an acknowledgement, please contact me on the email address given below.

If you need assistance in finding a partner please contact me, and I will try to help, though cannot guarantee success.

If you have registered and become unable to play for any reason, please inform me as soon as possible, especially if shortly before the event, as the requirement for an even number of pairs means that last minute withdrawals are likely to cause problems.
