The objectives of this Bridge Group are to focus on improvers and to act as a feeder group to the main EBU Clubs for those who wish to progress to a higher level.
We don't offer any formal teaching, but several of our members are experienced players, who are happy help those who want to increase or improve their Bridge skills.
We play duplicate bridge on a Friday evening between 6.30pm and 10pm. There is a fairly relaxed attitude and not too much pressure is put on improvers to speed up play. However, we are also conscious that players need to be made aware of what would be expected of them when playing in the main Clubs. Ideally, we would like you to come with a partner, but if this is not possible, please contact our Chairperson (see contact details below) and she will endeavour to find you one.
We don't always have a qualified Director available to sort out any problems, but several of our members are experienced Club players, who will help out where possible.
Visitors are welcome, but if you are a beginner it is recommended that you attend formal bridge classes rather than this group initially, as an awareness of basic bidding and playing protocols will be expected. There is another local Bridge Club at Carbis Bay, which offers excellent teaching for beginners - for details contact our
