Unit 110 and the PBC have been recognized by the ACBL for their exemplary performance in raising money to support the Alzheimer's Foundation as part of the Longest Day.
We have had a steady streak of being among the clubs which have raised the most money to support the cause, despite us being a relatively small club compared to other clubs recognized.
In 2024 we raised $10,691 and ranked #24 in clubs that participated.
In 2025 we raised $12,133 and again ranked #24 in clubs that participated.
In 2026 we raised $7,220 and ranked #42 in clubs that participated.

When: Thursday, October 29th 10 am
Where: First Colony Clubhouse, Williamsburg
Please sign-up by 9:30 am using RSVPBridge. Game will can start promptly at 10.
Cost is $10, players under 25 are always free.

The First Colony Clubhouse will be used by the Red Cross for a blood drive on the following dates:

On these dates, the bridge game will be held at PBC Hampton and the game will start at 11:00 AM..

| Beginner/Intermediate Lessons |
**Update** Chuck Sadowski has a beginner/intermediate class on Sundays 2:00-5:00 pm at the PBC. Next class is on November 8th. Cost is $10. Snacks will be provided. If you plan to attend, PLEASE send Chuck an email (ccsadowski1@cox.net) so that he can make enough copies of the lesson and provide enough food!
Bob Burgess conducts lessons on Mondays at the PBC at 10:00 am prior to game time.
Jim Davis is offering free beginner bridge lessons on Wednesdays at the Courthouse Way Community Center, 14302 Old Courthouse Way, Newport News, 10:00am - 1:00pm. Jim has been teaching bridge for many years in a relaxed and friendly style. If you have questions, Jim's email is bdavis143@cox.net.
