BBO is proving the most popular option currently. I know some of you have more questions than answers. One of the most asked questions / queries is about reviewing hands. You can review hands from the “History Tab” both during and after play. You can also replay the hand and see how many tricks you should have made. By adding in Bridge Solver you can get a proper view of what should have been. Also, when playing privately the scores are compared to approx. 15 other pairs not just the pair you are playing. You can see the other contracts as well by using the options at the top of the history screen.

I am toying with the idea of doing a Zoom or WhatsApp tutorial sometime to cover.

  1. Setting up a table so that there are no Kibitzers b) Recovering players who have lost connection and c) Hand review d) Mis-clicks and how to undo e) Useful stuff in BBO

If anyone is interested let me know and I will see what I can do.

Caterham Bridge Club are gaining in popularity playing BBO Swiss and Duplicate pairs. In Swiss Pairs the order of meeting the other pairs depends on the results obtained in earlier rounds. The principle is that the highest pair meets the second highest, the third highest pair meets the fourth, etc. The Director has the option of setting things up so that pairs only meet once. Have a look at their website for more details. Be aware they play 18 boards in 2 hours without a break.

Details are available from their website https://www.bridgewebs.com/caterham/
