Our Club |
- Our ethos is “If you ain’t having fun playing Bridge, then Bridge ain’t fun”.
- We are a small club averaging 8 tables playing Duplicate Bridge in a very relaxed, fun and sociable environment. We encourage and welcome players of all abilities so don’t worry if you do not think you are good enough - we all had to start somewhere.
- Scoring is done electronically via phones and tablets, using a system called “BridgePal” developed by John & Mirna Goacher of Chislehurst Bridge Club. This enables players to view the results before going home and the website is updated within a few minutes of play being completed. We also use pre-dealt hands produced by the "Dealer 4" machine. The combination of the two systems allows a full record of hands, contracts and playing stats for all players to be available on the website.
- We meet at the Red Cross hall next to the Leisure Centre on Friday Evenings with play starting promptly at 7pm for a 10pm finish. We like everyone to be seated by 6:50 so that we can start on time. On Friday evenings only, you can park in the gated private car park in the corner of the main Leisure Centre car park by the Woodhouse Centre.
- Table Money is £2.50 per person for visitors and £1.50 for members. Annual membership is £5.
- For more information contact us before coming on 01883 714096 or send an email by using the "contact us" form from the menu on the left.
- We do ask visitors to contact us before coming so we can make sure we can accommodate you, as we only have a small hall.
- Click on an Icon below to go to websites of the Electronic Scoring and Dealing Machine that we use.
We are not affiliated to the EBU and do not issue Masterpoints.
