3. Hon Treasure’s Report and Adoption of Accounts (Appendix C:

The Treasure’s Report was presented.

The cash at the Bank in 2019 was £6,218 with an average of 13.6 tables a night. The cash at  the Bank in 2022 was £6,184 with an average of 7.7 tables a night meaning that not withstanding the problems of the last few years there was the same balance as three years ago and the Club was in the same very strong financial  position.

For the future we need an average of 8 tables to break even and hope that numbers will increase during the year as more people return to face to face bridge.

The Treasurer thanked Don Porter for Auditing the Accounts so quickly.

 8.  Any other Business:

Since returning from the Covid break the Club had not introduced refreshments but were asked from time to time if they would be doing so.  This was put to the Vote and rather less than     half the Members had indicated they would like to the Club to do so.  The Chairman advised that as this was the case the Club would not provide refreshments.

Members were asked if they would like a Christmas Party this year.  This was put to the Vote and it was agreed to hold one but instead of fun bridge it would be normal bridge.

The Committee would be grateful if Members were unable to do their allotted Host duty that they would find a replacement to do so, this was only necessary once a year and quite often Members came without a partner  expecting there to be a Host, it also proved successful with visitors who came without a partner.

Don Porter advised the meeting that the Hall AGM would be on 7th November when hirers’ would be advised of future developments of the premises.

There being no other business the meeting closed at 7.30pm.
