Aims of the Club
To enable members to play bridge in a friendly environment with fair, polite and considerate attitude.
To comply with the rules of bridge so as not to take unfair advantage of our opponents.
To maintain the additional “social bridge events” in accordance with the requirements and wishes of the membership.
To ensure any changes to the constitution of the club are made only with the approval of the majority of members.
Membership
A” limited membership” policy has been adopted to ensure the rate and manner of development is controlled and consistent with the aims and facilities of the club.
The level of membership is determined by the members, and will be reviewed annually.
Application of Membership
Any person wishing to apply for membership must have participated in play at the club on 4 occasions in any 12-month period, before being considered eligible.
Subject to the attendance qualification, every applicant must be proposed and seconded by current members. An application form can be obtained from the Secretary.
All applications will be submitted to the Committee. They will approve or reject the application. Alternatively, if and when necessary they will defer membership.
Under no circumstance will the Committee give reason if an application is rejected.

Visitors and Guests
Visitors and guests will be welcome and admitted to all sessions of play. Their attendance will be on a controlled basis.
Visitors will be permitted to play, provided a member does not require the place. If this situation ever occurs, the member will take preference.
Membership Fees
Membership fees become due in April, on the date of the Annual General Meeting.
Except for extenuating circumstances, payment of the fee should be made by the end of April. Otherwise, the membership will be considered lapsed.
The Committee
Committee members will be elected biennially.
The committee consists of the following officers:
- President
- Vice-President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
The Committee will be responsible for:
- Monitoring the aims and policies for the club.
- Promoting and protecting the financial, social affairs and interest of the club.
- Providing the general effects and facilities for the benefit of members

The Tournament Director
The Tournament Director will be responsible for organizing all sessions of play.
The Tournaments Director’s decision in all matters of play and adjudication in all sessions will be final.

The Tournament Director and Scorer for a session are absolved from payment of the table fee.
