These regularly scheduled face-to-face bridge games in Unit 491 are cancelled:

October 26th, 28th and 29th 2021
 

To all our bridge players:  Out of an abundance of caution, the Clatsop County Nurse, Lisa McClain, advises us to cancel bridge games for this week.  This will give us 14 days from the date of exposure for one of our players. This agrees with the CDC recommendations.  So games are cancelled for this week.

The reasons for this are several even though we are doubly vaccinated and waiting for our booster shots.  We are a family, 20-28 players of 70-90+ year old, with older immune systems.  We play together up to 3x a week for 4+ hours across the table, even though the tables are spaced.  If another of the exposed players develops symptoms and tests positive during this time, we will know within the 14 day incubation period of Covid and will be able to stop the cycle of infection.

Please notify me if you develop symptoms and/or test positive.  Stay safe and well so that we may play again.  Sincerely, Monica
