Mary Wiese is pictured with her grandson Carn at Doogers Seafood and Grill in Seaside on the occasion of her 90th birthday. She gave up playing bridge shortly afterwards, but Mary was one of the Grande Dames of bridge in her day. She and her son Doug started the restaurant and much of its success is due to her hard work and high standards,values she carried into bridge. She was a Life Master, served on the Unit Board, and made many contributions to the social life of the unit with her great homebaked dishes and parties at her home on the golf course in Gearhart.
