Well done to Richard Pike and Nichola Cockerill-Smith on winning the Christmas Charity Swiss Pairs on 29th December. A bumper field of 90 pairs took part and £920 was raised for the Homeless Street Angels Charity. Jimmy Strauss and David Landes came 2nd with David & Ryan Beresford and Val Gibson & Pearl Murphy joint 3rd.

Congratulations to the team of Dave Robinson, Tony Sowter, Daniel Winter & Sarah Teshome on winning the August Swiss Teams. They beat the team of Pearl & Denis Murphy and Bob Marchbank & Terry Read in to 2nd place.
Next month's Swiss Teams is on Thursday 23rd September and entries are now open via email to ocbridgecomps@gmail.com. We start at 6:30pm and we will be playing 6 x 5 board matches. There is a $5 BBO per player entry fee per player and pre booking is essential to ensure an even number of teams.

Charity Swiss Pairs Supporting Euan's Gift |
Well done to Tim Chanter and Helen Wildsmith on winning the Charity Swiss Pairs. They finished ahead of Stuart and Pam Coggrave in 2nd place and Michael Lucas and Jolanta Coggle in 3rd. £400 was raised for the charity and thanks to all who took part. Fantastic Charity Weekend |
Thanks to all those who supported the charity events this weekend, we have raised an amazing £1100 which has been split between the Anthony Nolan Trust, The Zone and Mind. Congratulations to Brian Senior & Nigel Bird who won the Swiss Pairs on Saturday, with Linda Greenland & Ken Richardson and Lesley & Ron Millet in 2nd and 3rd. Well done also to Jill Hassan and Sheila Lovie on beating 71 other pairs to win the Stepping Stones game on Sunday, ahead of Angela Beecroft & Eileen Vaughan and Leigh & Andy Hawkins in 2nd and 3rd. I am incredibly proud of what has been achieved by this club this weekend.
