| Importance of the Convention Card |
An essential aspect of duplicate bridge is the convention card.
As per ACBL rules, each partnership should complete identical convention cards to clarify their agreed conventions and carding systems.
A completed convention card also serves as a reference for opponents upon request,
allowing them to understand the conventions and carding systems you may be using. Bridge is a game of full disclosure,
and every bid you make must be accompanied by clear information so that your opponents can fully understand its meaning.
With this in mind, we require that at least one player of an established partnership have a completed convention card during play.
If assistance is needed in completing one, please seek guidance—support will be provided as necessary.
If a partnership does not have a completed convention card, they will be required to play using the yellow SAYC convention card.
