Results of county match v Notts, 14^th April 2019 (home)

In the seventh and final match of the 2018-19 Midland League season, against Nottinghamshire on 14th April, the A-team won 18-2, the B-team 14-6 and the C-team 17-3.   Michael Robinson's match report appears at Oxon v Notts April 2019 match report.pdf.  The B-team thereby sealed victory in the race for the Porter Trophy and will be able to defend its status as national B-team champions in the Inter-League Finals on June 16th. With 6 comfortable wins in 7 matches, the B-team finished 15 VPS clear of Glos. The A-team were 6th in the Dawes League while the C-team were 3rd. The following pairs represented the county against Notts:

Results of Tollemache Finals, 16-17^th February 2019 

Having qualified for the eight-team Final for the third year in succession, Oxfordshire had high hopes of a first ever Tollemache victory. After three wins in a row on Saturday, the county lay 3rd overnight but the final three games were all lost and Oxon plummeted to last place on 54 VPs. The winners were Cambs & Hunts, despite their loss to Oxon on Saturday. The county was represented by Alan Wilson (capt) & Nick Smith; Kathy & Denis Talbot, Robert Procter & Michael Robinson; Ian Angus & Chris Cooper. 

Results of County match v Leics, 10^th February 2019 

In the sixth match of the 2018-19 season, we played away to Leicestershire on 10th February. The A-team lost 4-16 but the B-team won 18-2 to maintain its chances of retaining the Porter Trophy and the C-team won 17-3. Results of the County match v Derbys, 13^th January 2019 

In the fifth match of the 2018-19 season, we played at home to Derbyshire at the refurbished Oxford BC on 13th January. Our A-team lost 2-18 VPs, our B-team won 14-6 and the C-team match was a 10-10 draw. The following pairs represented the county:

In the fourth match of the 2018-19 season, home to Worcestershire at Abingdon BC, our A-team won 14-6, our B-team by 18-2 and our C-team by 16-4.  The following pairs were selected to represent the county:

Success at Tollemache Qualifier, 17-18^th November 2018 

For the third year running, Oxfordshire has qualified for the Final of the National (Tollemache) Championships. In a nail-biting finish to the tightest possible Group B, Oxon finished a close second to Cambs & Hunts on 80 VPs with Leics missing out on 77 VPs in 3rd place. In the third match of the 2018-19 season, on Sunday 11 November, away to Gloucestershire at Cheltenham BC, our A-team lost 3-17, our B-team lost 2-18 and our C-team lost 0-20.  Match Report written by Peter Litchfield.  These were the pairs who played:

The county had mixed success in the second match of the 2018-19 season on Sunday 7 October at 2.00pm, home against Warks. The A-team and the C-team both lost 8-12 but our B-team won 17-3. These were the selected teams:

Results of County match v Staffs & Shrops (A), 9^th September 2018
