ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

1. Apologies: Pravin Tailor, Toni Smith, Jane Hall, Sue Wright, Julia Staniforth, Sandy Fulton, Stan Zygadlo, John Rolph, John Auld, Irene Auld, Lloyd Eagling

2. Minutes of last AGM – approved

3. Matters arising from the minutes – None

4. Chairs report

• There are a lot of good bridge activities going on in the county, being led mainly by the clubs
• Activities have been online primarily, although Nottingham had started F2F
• The counties activities had been limited, but had done the following:
  • Wednesdays evenings – thrived for a while then died out due to competition
  • Team of 4 league – ran twice, 16 teams entered last time.
  • County matches – 37 people played with 2 more to come. Results – 1^st team: 3-3-1 (W-L-D),  2nd 1-6,  3^rd, 2-5
  • Sent teams to 8 high and 9 high events
• NCBA not done as much as Chair would like. Other counties do more e.g. Yorkshire with teaching initiative. Surrey re less experienced players
• NCBA is very restricted by manpower. The current situation is not sustainable and more active committee members are needed
• The Chair thanked the committee for their efforts
• Finished with news of a success in that John Auld and Sandy Fulton are through to Crockfords finals

5. Treasurers report – Made a profit of [ ]. This is mainly due to Keith’s efforts on Wednesdays. At the last AGM it was agreed that the county element of the P2P would be set to 0p. NCBA had managed to bring that forward to December.

6. The accounts were presented and approved

7. Dave Beaumont appointed Independent Examiner

8. It was agreed that the county element of P2P to be left at 0p

9. The following were elected to the committee:

It was noted that MG expressed an unwillingness to be Chair and Couonty Captain as he had been since the previous AGM
