As of end of October, we've had 58 responses, divided as follows:

  24 are regular Friday players
  10 are occasional Friday players
  24 don't play on Fridays
  
There was little enthusiasm for changing the start time on Fridays. A few noted that traffic is particularly bad at around midday, so moving the game time forward by an hour wouldn't help.  And switching to the morning seemed to blow some minds!  Many weren't sure what to make of that.

As for a move to the Canterbury venue, that understandably resulted in quite some resistance from the current Friday players. On the flip side, there are those who are currently playing on Wednesdays that were enthusiastic.

Conclusion: there is insufficient support to make any change at this time, so we will leave it at the status quo for the moment. That of course does not make the overall viability issues go away.
