NIBU Real Bridge events on Tuesdays will recommence on 4th January

All of the events in January will be FREE

  Real Bridge Login

Logging on to Real Bridge is straightforward - just fill in your full name in the name box and click on the login button. Please enter your full name - e.g. 'Mary Brown' as Real Bridge uses this to identify players and Bridgewebs uses it to award master points

Logging in takes you to the event lobby where you can see a plan of the event tables; if your partner is already logged in click on the seat opposite them, if partner is not logged in then select a free seat - please fill up tables from the lowest number available

You are then free to converse with others at the table until the event starts

  Advice for iPad and Mac Users

iPad issues after upgrading to iOS 15 

Apple released iOS version 15.0 in September and 15.1 in October. In these releases they changed a setting relating to browser-based audio and video. This has caused issues for some players. If you have upgraded to iOS 15, we recommend a settings change, which resets this functionality to what it was in earlier versions.

  Alerting on Real Bridge

Alerting on Real Bridge is the same as in face-to-face bridge

When your partner makes a bid which requires explanation you can 'announce' according to NIBU recommendations or click on the Alert button - you can then provide a spoken explanation of the bid

Example announcements:

1NT bid by partner:  Weak, Strong, 12-14, 14-16

Suit bid:  May be short, 5 cards, Strong not necessarily clubs (e.g. Precision), Stayman, Puppet

Transfer:  Transfer, Hearts
