Bridge table musings

Some opposition players  don't understand that i do not want to know about their previous hand.

let's get rid of the sharks so I can be one.

Bridge is :  A test of my skill versus the opponents luck.

Partnership

If you are a Club member, you can register and look for partners for specific games in the members only section of this web site. If you are a visitor or have a last minute emergency, please call our  Partnership Coordinator, Kit  Nash at 905-468-2047 between the hours of 9AM and 9PM. Kit will work hard making phone calls on your behalf. Please have the courtesy to call her back if you find your own partner.

The Club

Welcome to the Niagara-on-the-Lake Duplicate Bridge Centre.  We offer a friendly, ACBL santioned game every Tuesday and Friday afternoon at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Centre, Anderson Lane.

We welcome all players regardless of experience.

There is a "chalk talk" every Tuesday beginning at 12:30 pm and the game starts at 1:00 pm.  Registration for the game closes at 12:50 pm.

Cost for regular games is $5.00 for members and $7.00 for non-members.

Membership fees are $20.00 yearly and are due in September.

Special games, charity games, and socials have a slightly increased fee.  See the calendar for details of upcoming games.

Registering

It's great that you have decided to register!  Don't forget to register your email address if you want to receive communications from the club.

Charity Games

The ACBL requires clubs that wish to hold charity games to hold one Charity Game to benefit the ACBL Charity, then the club is able to run other games to benefit local charities as it wishes. Charity games offer more Masterpoints than ordinary games and are usually offered at no extra cost to club members. Members were canvassed for suggestions during October and voted to have the proceeds donated to Niagara-on-the-Lake Palliative Care in 2018.
